About AACJP

The American Association of Community Justice Professionals (AACJP) is an international group of individuals and agencies from the United States, Canada, and Caribbean Nations involved in the broad professions of offender treatment and victim services. AACJP constituents include professionals from community corrections, human services, probation and parole, juvenile justice, drug and problem solving courts, victim advocacy organizations, domestic and family violence and other experts interested in crime reduction and victim safety. AACJP is committed to promoting evidence-based and best practices for offenders and victims of crime.

AACJP was created by the Advocate Program, Inc., a non-profit, 501[c]3 justice agency that has served the citizens of Miami-Dade County, Florida and the 11th Judicial Circuit since 1971.  AACJP is an outgrowth of the Advocate Center for Training and Treatment (ACTT), a professional training institute established in 2000, primarily dealing with issues relating to domestic violence and sexual assault.
